The new G-Shock MRGG1000 features a key technology in the company’s analogue watch strategy—a new hybrid solar-powered timekeeping system that receives both Global Positioning System (GPS) signals and radio wave time-calibration signals.

The G-Shock MRGG1000 watch has been finely crafted down to the very smallest detail. It features the ground-breaking hybrid solar-powered timekeeping system, keeping time by receiving both GPS signals and radio wave time-calibration signals. Advanced performance in a tough yet refined watch design—this is what users can count on in the MR-G Series.
With just a push of a button, the watch corrects the time if needed in as little as seven seconds using either GPS signals or radio wave time-calibration signals, keeping accurate time anywhere in the world.
An outer case made of lightweight and rust-resistant titanium is finished with superb Sallaz polishing, a superlative metal-polishing technique that creates a solid, yet refined look. The watch has been designed to protect the crown and buttons without requiring extra protective parts, achieving high performance module in a modest size.
The face features sapphire glass with an anti-reflective coating for scratch resistance and high visibility, while the bezel is dual surface-coated to withstand scratches. Large side buttons carved from metal and multidimensional index marks realized through proprietary fine metal crafting techniques yield a refined watch made with the very finest attention to detail.

· GPS signal reception for accurate time and automatic daylight savings adjustment
Obtains location and time information using GPS signals. The watch references internal global map data in 500-meter resolution grids, to automatically adjust to the local time zone based on location information, and correct for daylight savings.

Receives radio wave time-calibration signals transmitted from six stations worldwide (two in Japan and one each in North America, UK, Germany, and China). In coverage areas, the watch receives radio wave time-calibration signals and displays accurate time, even when indoors or surrounded by buildings.
· Hybrid system for keeping accurate time anywhere in the world
Casio has developed an algorithm that uses the location information based on GPS signals and radio wave time-calibration signals transmitted from six stations worldwide in order to ensure accurate time is displayed anywhere in the world. In areas where radio waves are available, the watch prioritizes receipt of radio wave signals. In areas without radio wave coverage, the system adjusts the time based on the location information obtained using GPS signals.
· Dual time display for traveling abroad
Dual time simultaneously displays the time in two separate cities. View the current local time and second time at a glance from the minute/hour hands and inset dial, which is useful when travelling abroad.
· Case made of lightweight and tough titanium
The case is made from titanium, which is rust resistant and 40% lighter than stainless steel, for a shock-resistant watch without extra weight.
· Hardened, dual surface coating
Dual surface coating is deep-hardened and features a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating. Deep hardening is achieved by heating up the material in a mixed oxygen-nitrogen gas so that oxygen and nitrogen penetrate the surface, to achieve a hard surface with a thickness of 20 to 30 μm. The DLC coating achieves a non-crystallized hard carbon coating that is mainly carbon and hydrogen. These coatings give the titanium superior scratch resistance.

Each watch is carefully polished by hand to achieve a smooth and lustrous mirror finish.

Large side buttons carved from metal are easy to press and accentuate the tough design.
